Beachwood Golf Club

Beachwood Golf Club

Beachwood is a classic layout. It opened in 1967 and to this day is still housing free allowing players to enjoy an undisturbed round of golf. Beachwood is an outstanding choice to play on the first day of a Myrtle Beach golf trip, giving your group a chance to ease into things.

Beachwood is set on 180 acres and architect Gene Hamm took full advantage of the space. Beachwood’s fairways are as wide as any in the area and players that do miss the short grass won’t find themselves deep in a pine forest.

Beachwood has water that comes into play on seven holes. The experience at Beachwood is highlighted by the finish, as the 17th and 18th holes are among the layout’s best. The 17th – a shortish par 5 at 500 yards from the tips – gives every player a chance to score. The signature hole is #18, a 239-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to a green that is protected by water on two sides.
