Aberdeen Country Club
Aberdeen Country Club is located off Route 9 in the rural area of Longs, S.C. This North Myrtle Beach golf course is renowned to be one of the country’s best – ranked 4 stars in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” and the only recipient in the Carolinas of Golf Digest’s prestigious medallions for both value and service in 1998.
Aberdeen’s award-winning layout, designed by Tom Jackson, delivers a Scottish flair. Each 9 hole course – the Highlands and Meadows – is paired with natural surroundings in its scenic, towering hardwoods, the Waccamaw River.
Open in 1989, Aberdeen is located along a protected riverfront preserve, teeming with wildlife. The rolling fairways are tree-lined and lead to medium-sized, undulating greens of moderate speed. The golf course also features extensive mounding, wide landing areas, and lush Bermuda greens.
The course was modeled after the Royal Aberdeen Golf Club, Scotland’s (and the world’s) sixth-oldest golf course.
Aberdeen Country Club is part of the Founders International Group of golf courses.
