Since winning the Sanderson Farms event back in 2014 during his rookie year, Nick Taylor hasn’t done much until the AT&T Pro-AM where he went wire-to-wire over the field. Going into the Sunday round, he held a 1 stroke lead over Phil Mickeson (5 time winner at the event) and 3 strokes ahead of former #1 Jason Day. Both Mickelson and Day had tough days dropping bach to 3rd and 4th while Kevin Streelman was a fast closing 2nd – still 4 strokes back.
Streelman and his amateur playing partner Larry Fitzgerald (WR-Arizona Cardinals) won the Pro-AM team event.
In Australia, the European Tour and LPGA played simultaneously at the ISPS Handa Vic Open in Melbourne. Not only were the two tours playing at the same time on the same course, they were playing for the same purse amounts. Min Woo Lee won his first European Tour victory and Hee Young Park took the Women’s title.
