Tyrrell Hatton kept his cool (well almost) to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational by 1 stroke over Marc Leishman. Conditions were very tough as the wind blow hard, the greens were had and the rough was thick and deep. Only 4 golfers finished under par. It looked like Hatton was going to self-implode again as he went to the 11th hole witl a 3 stroke lead. He did find water and dropped 2 strokes to leave the hole down to a 1 stroke lead. He managed to keep his cool the rest of the way. This was Hatton’s first PGA Tour victory to go along with 4 European Tour titles.

On the European Tour, Jorge Campillo won the Commercial Back Qatar Masters for his second tour victory. He went 5 extra holes to defeat David Dyrsdale.

Ernie Els got his first Champions Tour victory at the Hoag Classic. He beat Robert Karlsson, Fred Couples and Glen Day by 2 strokes.
