Shouting a 64 on Sunday at the windswept Bay course at Sea View Resort, Anna Nordqvist posted a 1 stroke victory over Haru Nomura to successfully defend her title at the Shop-Rite Classic just outside of Atlantic City.

Muirfield Village was the site for 38 year old William McGirt’s first PGA tour win (and his second professional win – 2007 on the now defunct Tarheel Tour). He got the victory over John Curran on the 2nd playoff hole. Both golfers seemed to deal with the weather better than some of the bigger names (McIlroy, D Johnson, Holmes and Kuchar to name a few.)

The European tour was in Sweden for the Nordea Masters. Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick came away with his 2nd tour victory with a 3 stroke margin over Lasse Jensen.

~ Champions Tour: Scott McCarron birdied the last a3 holes to finish 1 stroke ahead of Miguel Angel Jimenez at the Principal Charity Classic.

~ Symetra Tour: Big Breaker Jackie Stoelling won for the first time at the Fuccillo Kia Championship with a 30 ft birdie putt on the 2nd playoff hole to beat Emma Talley.

~ Web.com Tour: Playing down in the Dominican Republic, Dominic Bozzelli posted a 4 stroke victory over Sam Ryder for his tour win at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship.
