The US professional golf tours are now on hold until after the holidays.
The “unofficial” Hero World Championship hosted by Tiger Woods finished up yesterday with Rickie Fowler posting a 61 to come from 7 strokes back to win by 4 and .slam the door on 3rd round leader Charley Hoffman.
As the host, Woods gave himself an exemption to play in the event for his first outing since last February. He also gave Daniel Berger an exemption to round out the field at 18 in this no cut event. Woods played pretty well finishing in mid pack with 3 rounds below par and only being marred by a 75 in round 3.
The Australian PGA Champtionship title was taken by Cameron Smith with a par on the 2nd playoff hole against fellow countryman Jordan Zunic.
With a final round 67, Dylan Frittelli finished 16 under and in a tie with Arjun Atwal at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. Frittelli went on to beat Atwal on the first playoff hole for the win.
