With a sizzling 63 on Sunday, Bubba Watson put away the field to win the Travelers Championship for the third time. It was also his 3rd win on tour this year. Paul Casey held the 54 hole lead by 4 strokes with a fantastic 62 on Saturday. The magic of Saturday’s play did not carry over to Sunday as he could not get anything going and ended up tied for 2nd three strokes behind after going bogey, bogey over the last two holes. Watson sealed the deal with almost a kick-in birdie on the last hole.

The LPGA played the Walmart NW Arkansas Open. The trend of first time winners continued with Japan’s Nasa Hataoka cruising to a -21 with 64-65-63 and a 6 stroke victory over Austin Ernst.

Matt Wallace continued his excellent play on the European Tour. He posted a come from behind 65 to win the BMW International Open by a stroke over Martin Kaymer. Also finishing 2nd was Thorbjorn Olesen who had a 61 on Sunday but ran out of holes.

Condolences go out the the family and golf community as World Golf Hall of Famer Hubert Green passed away at the age of 71 after a lengthy battle with throat cancer.
