Out of the blue, Jim Herman (600-1 to win before the event) made 3 birdies during his last 4 holes on Friday to make the cut. Then he went on to post 61 on Saturday to vault up the leader board and then posted a 63 on Sunday to beat Justin Thomas for the Wyndham Championship. With the win, Herman also jumped from out of the FedEx Playoffs to 54 in the list. This was Herman’s 3rd win on Tour. How strange the game can be. In his last event before the win, Herman finished tied for 77th out of 79 golfers at the PGA Championship

On the Seniors Tour, Jerry Kelly took the title at the Bridgestone Seniors Players Championship. He beat Scott Parel by 2 strokes aided by a hole in one on the 12th hole on Sunday.

Stacey Lewis won the Aberdeen Investments Ladies Scottish Open .Lewis drained a 20-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to win for the first time in nearly three years. The two-time major winner and former No. 1 closed with an even-par 72 at The Renaissance Club on the Scottish coast to move into a playoff against fellow Texan Cheyenne Knight, Emily Pedersen and Azahara Munoz at 5-under 279.
