As the playoff at the Northern Trust on Sunday was getting ready to begin, it could be heard in the crowd as some younger patrons were talking — looks like a playoff between Dustin Johnson, Paul Casey and “some other guy.”  Well truth be told, the “some other guy” otherwise known to his mother and wife as James Hahn, went on to win the playoff on the 3rd hole by dusting Dustin with a 23 foot putt. Dustin’s 15 footer to tie slid by the hole on the left. (Casey dropped out after the 2nd hole.) It was the first PGA Tour win for the 30 yr old Hahn (ranked 297 in the world).

LPGA Tour: Lydia Ko solidified her position as the #1 woman in the Ladies world rankings with a 2 stroke win at Royal Melbourne capturing the Australian Open.

European Tour: Anirban Lahiri (India) won for the 2nd time in three weeks. Before this past weekend’s win in New Delhi, he won the Maybank Malaysian Open. The tour now moves to South Africa for the Jo’burg Open. Can he continue his hot play?

Symetra Tour: The season’s opening event – the Gateway Classic – was won by Hannah O’Sullivan. Hannah just happens to be a 16 yr old amateur who got to play on a sponsor’s exemption. Looks like she has some game.
