With the win at the Ricoh Women’s British Open, Inbee Park has officially notched the career grand slam in women’s golf. She had previously won the US Open (2013), PGA Championship (2013, 2014) and the ANA Inspiration (2013). Unlike the PGA Tour, the LPGA now has 5 Majors in a year. In 2013, the LPGA added a 5th Major – the Evian Championship. This event is played in France and is coming up next month. Should she will this event, she will have won what is being called the “Super Slam.”

PGA Tour: What a weekend of golf for Troy Merritt. He got his first PGA Tour win at the Quicken Loans National after 96 events. After barely making the cut after Friday’s round, he burned up the course on Saturday with a record setting 61 and then went on to post a -4 under 67 on Sunday to win by 3. The victory gets him into this week’s Bridgestone Invitational, the PGA Championship and next year’s Masters. Sweet!!!

European Tour: At the Paul Lawrie Match Play event in Aberdeen Scotland, Kiradech Aphibarnrat birdied the final hole to be Robert Karlsson 1 up. This was Aphibarnrat’s 3rd European Tour victory.

Symetra Tour: The PHC Classic was won by Annie Park. She beat Lee Lopez with a 15 foot birdie putt on the 3rd playoff hole. This was Park’s second victory on the tour in the last three weeks.

Champions Tour: Kenny Perry breezed to a successful title defense a the 3M Championship in Blaine MN. He won by 4 strokes over Bernhard Langer, Kevin Sutherland and Scott Dunlap.

Web.com Tour: A first time victory was posted by Patton Kizzire at the Utah Championship. To win, he sank a 3 foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to beat Sung Kang.
