Sung Hyan Park couldn’t hold on in last year’s Women’s US Open in her first attempt at this major. The result of her second attempt ended with a 2 stroke victory this year over 17 year old amateur Hye-Jin Choi. The event showed the strength of the South Korean women as they finished with 8 in the top 10.

European Tour: This week’s stop was at the Scottish Open. For the second week in a row, a Spaniard took the title. Rafa Cabrera-Bello beat Cullen Shinkwin with a birdie on the first playoff hole. Shinkwin was in the driver’s seat until he took a bogie on the 72nd hole to drop into the playoff.

PGA Tour: The John Deer Classic was the site for rookie Bryson DeChambeau to pick up his first tour victory by coming from off the pace on the back 9 to beat Patrick Rodgers.

Champions Tour: Another first occurred at the Constellation Senior Players Championship. Scott McCarron won his first seniors title with the victory.

Senior LPGA Tour: The inaugural Senior Ladies Championship was held at the French Lick course in Indiana. Trisha Johnson beat Michele Redman by 3 strokes for the victory.
