Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Iain McGregor (caddy for Alastair Forsyth). Iain died of a heart attack on the 9th fairway which caddying for Al during the Mediera, Spain euro tour event this passed weekend.

On the PGA tour, the Players Championship was won by Martin Kaymer. Technically, he won the event when he holed his par putt on 18 but most will say he really won it with an improbable 28 foot par saving putt on the world famous 17th. Facing a likely bogey or even a potential double after hitting a less than quality chip from the front edge rough, he smoothly putted the 28 foot with 6 foot break and watched it just drop in the hole. Jim Furyk (in the house 1 stroke behind) was watching the action on TV and you could see the facial disappointment when the putt dropped.
