Captain Tom Watson has announced his 3 picks to fill out the US Ryder Cup Team. They are Hunter Mahan, Keegan Bradley and Webb Simpson. There were a lot of excellent golfers for Watson to consider. It is clear that he went with “experience.” Now the question will be – is this a team focused on redemption or will it be another European A__whipping?

PGA Tour – Chris Kirk outplayed Rory McIlroy over the last 36 holes to win the Deutsche Bank Championship – the 2nd leg of the Fedex Cup.

Web.com Tour – Bud Cauley stepped down to play the Hotel Fitness Campionship at Ft Wayne IN and came away with the title. Certainly the winner’s share is no means anything close to a win on the PGA Tour but it gives him pocket money.

European Tour – The Italian Open was won by South Aftrican Hennie Otto. This was Otto’s first win in almost 3 years and it was his 3rd International victory.

LPGA and Symetra Tours were both off this past weekend.
