Stephen Jaeger posted a 58 (-12) at the first round of the Web.com Tour’s Ellie Mae Classic in Hayward CA. It was the first 58 in a PGA Tour sanctioned event. He posted 29-29 in putting together the round. The only other major tour “58” was put up by Ryo Ishikawa with a -12 to win the 2010 Crowns event on the Japan Tour. Jaeger followed up his 58 with 65, 64, & 63 to finish -30 for the four round event (smashing Steve Wheatcroft’s Web.com record by 5 strokes).

Call him a Grinder.  Despite playing 36 holes on Sunday, enduring rain-soaked conditions, just very hot weather and a Jason Day eagle on 18 just in front of him, Jimmy Walker could not be derailed from winning his first Major.

The 2016 Ricoh Women’s British Open was pretty much just a walk in the park for Ariya Jutanugarn as she cruised to victory. She did let a 6 stroke lead drop to 1 over Mirim Lee late in Sunday’s round but she pulled it together for the win. This was her first Major and her 4th victory of the year.
