Despite rain on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, Jon Rahm was able to hold on and finish round 3 on Sunday 4 strokes off the lead. After the 3 round was over Rahm was only 2 strokes behind Brooks Koepka. He tied Koepka on the 5th hole, took the lead on the 6th hole and never looked back. Rahm won the Masters by 4 strokes over Koepka and a hard charging Phil Mickelson who posted a 65 under for the day.

With the win, Rahm moved back into the #1 position on the OWGR.

Waiting for Rahm as he walked victorious off the 18th green was his countryman – Jose Maria Olazabal wearing his own Green Jacket – to congratulate him as he became the 4th Spaniard to win the Masters. Sergio Garcia and the late, great Seve’ Ballesteros are the other two
