Webb Simpson wasted no time once the playoff with Tony Finau began at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He birdied the first playoff hole for the win. He got into the playoff by having birdies on 17 and 18 to tie Finau. Finau had an opportunity to win the event outright but he missed his 9 ft putt on 18 thus creating the playoff.

Graeme McDowell secured his 11th European Tour victory with a 12 under finish at the Saudi International event. He beat Dustin Johnson by 2 strokes. It was even that close as Johnson eagled the 18th hole to get to 2 behind.
