Despite the lack of big name stars, the level of competition at the Sanderson Farms Championship was still very strong. Sebastian Munoz beginning his third year on tour was able to win his first tournament with a 1 hole playoff over Sungjae Im.

After an outstanding effort at the Solheim Cup, Nelly Korda stayed across the pond to play in the Lacoste Ladies French Open. She ran away with an 8 stroke victory for her first win on the Ladies European Tour.

The European Tour held its flagship event – the BMW PGA Championship – just outside London at the Wentworth Golf Club. There Danny Willett posted a 20 under total to beat Jon Rahm.

On the Champions Tour, Rocko Mediate won the Sanford Invitational. It was his first Seniors title in three years.
