Congratulations go out to Oliver Wilson. After losing his European Tour card 2 years ago and playing in the Arther Dunhill Links Championship on an invitation, he made the best of it by beating Rory McIlroy, Richie Ramsay and Tommy Fleetwood by 1 stroke. This is Ollie’s first win on tour after 227 tour events. He has been a runner up 9 times. He will certainly move up from 792nd place in the World Rankings.

LPGA Tour: Mirim Lee (So. Korea) has won her 2nd LPGA tour event in her rookie year. This past weekend she won the Reignwood Classic in Beijing. Her 1st win was 2 months ago in a playoff at the Meijer LPGA Classic.

Did you catch the Big Break Invitational Championship held last week at Reynolds Plantation in Georgia? 20 male and 20 female alumni were invited to play in the inaugural event. The line up include many familiar names from the PGA, LPGA, Web.com and Symetra Tours. The format was quite interesting. The first two days where played under a modified Stableford scoring system. The top 12 men and top 12 women in the scoring moved on to Day 3 which was a match play event. The 6 male winners and 6 female winners then played head to head in stroke play on Day 4. It was a well played event with Jay Woodson winning. In 2014, Jay played on the NGA Pro Tour and several other mini tour events. Coming in second a stroke behind was Emily Talley who played on the Symetra Tour in 2014. Tied for 3rd was Tony Finau (Web.com and has graduated to PGA Tour for 2014-2015 season) and Tommy Gainey (PGA Tour but who lost his card for 2014-2015).
