The Omega European Masters went an extra hole to find a winner. Alex Noren took advantage of a wayward drive by Scott Hend to win the first playoff hole with a birdie to take the title.

Backed by two 63’s over the weekend, Carlos Franco took the victory at the Champion’s Tour Shaw Charity Classic by 2 strokes over Bernhard Langer.

Captain Clarke finalized his team by adding Kaymer, Westwood and Pieters. The US team will see three more added on September 12th and the final spot will be filled after the Tour championship.
