Patrick Cantlay moved in the the #1 spot with his win at the BMW Championship. In doing so, he started play at East Lake at -10. He never looked back as he went wire to wire to win the the Tour Championship and the FEDEX Cup and pocket $15 million. Sunday came down to pretty much a head to head match with Jon Rahm. Rahm was never able to pass Cantlay all day. Cantlay finished at -21 and Rahm at -20.

The Ladies played the Solheim Cup in Ohio. The European Team held a 2 point lead going (9-7) into the twelve Singles Matches on Monday. The European Team just out to a commanding lead by taking the first 3 1/2 points in the Singles. Matilda Castren got the critical 14th point for Europe to retain the Cup when she won the 18th hole over Lisette Salas.

The apparent star for the Europeans was Leona Maguire – the first Irish woman to play in the event – posted a 4-0-1 record.

On the Korn Ferry Tour, the Championship event was won by Joseph Bramlett who posted a -20 to win and beat runner up Trey Mullinax by 4 strokes.
