US Captain Jay Haas used a Captain’s Pick to add his son Bill to the US Team. Bill went on to provide a storybook ending with the winning point (15 1/2 vs 14 1/2) for his team and his Dad. In the final match, Bill beat Bae Sang-moon 2 up.

LPGA Tour: Posting a 65 on the final day of the LPGA Malaysia event gave Jessica Korda a 4 stroke victory over Lydia Ko, Stacey Lewis and Shanshan Feng.

European Tour: Matthew Fitzpatrick completed a wire to wire victory at the British Masters for his first Euro Tour victory. He finished at -15 in this his rookie season. Fitzpatrick was the 2013 US Amateur champion.

Champions Tour: The SAS Championship was won by Tom Lehman by a stroke over Joe Durant. This was Lehman’s first victory since June 2014.
