Brandt Snedeker had a 5 stroke lead on Sunday and then bogied 4 of the last 9 holes to fall into a playoff with Kevin Tway and Ryan Moore at the Safeway Open on the North course at Silverado Resort and Golf in Napa, CA.

On the first playoff hole, Snedeker posted a par but the other two had birdies so he was dropped from the playoff. Tway and Moore both birdied the 2nd playoff hole. Then on the 3rd hole, Tway dropped his putt for his 3rd straight birdie in the playoff to win his first PGA Tour victory.

Thus the PGA Tour’s 2018-2019 wraparound schedule has begun.

At the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Lucas Bjerregaard won his 2nd European Tour event with a closing 5 under 67 on Sunday at the Old Course at St Andrews.
