The LPGA Tour now has a new “breakout” star in 20 year old Ariya Jutanugarn. By taking the inaugural Volvik Championship by 5 strokes over Christina Kim Ariya has posted 3 consecutive wins on the tour (and her first 3 wins at that).

Jordan Spieth notched his first victory since the Hyundai Tournament of Champions back in January with the win at the Dean and DeLuca Colonial. This was his first win in his home state. He sealed the deal with birdies on the last 3 holes to beat Harris English by 3.

The Champions Tour held their Senior PGA Championship. With a record-setting 128 for the first 36 holes, Rocco Mediate went on to post a 3 stroke victory over Colin Montgomerie.

The European Tour’s BMW PGA Championship was won by Chris Wood by 1 stroke over Rikard Karlberg and Danny Willett.

Kuang-Tae Kim won for the 7th time in the past year on the Japan Tour. With the victory at the “Gate Way to the Open” event, he has secured his place in this year’s field at the Open Championship at Royal Troon in July.

Natalie Sheary earned her first victory on the Symetra Tour at the WB Mason Championship.
