The LPGA’s first major of the year was the ANA Inspiration. It was Lydia Ko who came away with the title with a -12 and 1 stroke victory over Charley Hull and In Gee Chun. This win makes Ko the youngest player ever to win 12 tour events.

The PGA Tour also had a first at the Shell Houston Open. Journeyman Jim Herman finally got his first tour win with a 1 stroke victory over Henrik Stenson. With the victory, Herman moves from 191 up to 68 in the OWGR. Not only did he earn a 2 year exemption, he is now at Masters inside the ropes. Hopefully he can handle the pressure and make the cut.
