Daniel Berger made 4 Eagles at Pebble Beach with the most important one being the 30 foot putt on the last hole to lock up the tournament win. The AT& T Pebble Beach ProAM wasn’t quite the same game to watch without the Amateur play. Berger finished 2 strokes ahead of the fast closing Maverick McNealy with whom he was tied at -16 going into the 18th par 5 hole. McNealy was watching the play when Berger made the 30 foot putt. McNealy’s reaction as seen on camera was: “WOW.”
Finishing in 3rd place 3 strokes behind were Patrick Cantlay, 54 hole leader Jordan Spieth, Paul Casey and Nate Lashley (who was tied with Berger going into the 16th hole before he blew up with a triple bogie on the par 4).
This was Berger’s 4th PGA Tour win and with the win he moved up to #13 on the OWGR.
