The three primary golf events this past weekend all had a foreign flavor.  Argentinian Angel Cabrera notched his first US non-major win at the Greenbrier Classic by posting a stellar 64 to win by two. Although he bogies two straight holes on the back nine, he never seemed out of control.  Canadian Roger Sloan “weathered” the Hurricane Arthur delay on Saturday to win the inaugural Nova Scotia Open on the Web.com tour. Northern Ireland’s Graham McDowell came from 8 strokes off the lead in the wind and rain to repeat as the winner of the French Open.  Kevin Stadler missed his birdie putt on 18 for a chance to win and then missed the 3 foot comebacker for the tie handing the title to G-Mac.

Foreign golf will continue to be the main focus for the next two weeks. This week, the ladies will have their RICOH Women’s British Open. Then the men will make a go of it at the Open the following week. In fact, many of the big names are teeing it up in this week’s Scottish Open.

While you have the opportunity to have breakfast while watching the TV coverage of both the Women’s and Men’s Opens, why not request some Myrtle Beach Golf Packages so you can review them with your buddies as you watch the golf. It is a great time to look into fall golf in Myrtle Beach. You can fill in a request form on our website: www.myrtlebeachgolfmasters.com or give us a call at 1-800-974-8064 and we’ll get information right out to you.
