What a blow out. Dustin Johnson annihilated the TPC Boston course posting a -30 and bliw away the field for the win at the Northern Trust. Harris English finished a distant 2nd 11 strokes behind. With the win, DJ jumps back into the #1 spot in the OWGR.

DJ’s -30 is second only to Ernie Els who posted a -31 at the 2003 Sentry Tournament of Champions. His total of 254 on a par 72 course is also only 1 stroke off the record of 253.  Winning by 11 strokes has been the widest margin since Phil Mickelson won the 2006 Bell South by 13 strokes. DJ has played 272 tour events. His previous low total was 261 so he beat that by 7 stokes.

Another key stat to recognize is Scottie Scheffler became the latest golfer to post a 59 while playing at the Northern Trust.

Sophia Popov, ranked #304 in the women’s OWGR had the week of her life. She came out of nowhere to win the AIG Open at Royal Troon. This was the first major of the adjusted LPGA Tour season.
