The semi-final matches were both riveting with Sam Burns taking down Scottie Scheffler after 21 holes and Cameron Young beat Rory McIlroy after 18 holes.

Then McIlroy was victorious over Scheffler 2 & 1 in the consolation match.

The final between Burns and Young didn’t have the “sizzle” as Burns won 6 & 5. Burns continued his excellent putting where Young seemed to no longer have the “finish” in him.

At the parallel PGA Tour event, Matt Wallace won the Corales Puntacana Championship.

On the LPGA circuit, Celine Boutier won the first playoff hole over Georgia Hall to win the LPGA Drive On Championship.
