With the Statue of Liberty as a backdrop, Patrick “Captain America” Reed captured the first leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs – the Northern Trust – at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, NJ.

Reed finished his Saturday round with the lead. He stumbled during the front 9 on Sunday to loose the lead only to come back with a 1 stroke victory over upstart Abraham Ancer. This was Reed’s first win since the 2018 Masters.

Miserable conditions at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open didn’t dampen the 66 posted by Mi Jung Hur. She went on to win by 4 strokes over Mariya Jutanugarn and Jeongeun Lee6.
