Francesco Molinari blasted through the field despite the sweltering heat to shot an 8 under 62 on Sunday to tie the course record and blow away the field. Ryan Amour was a distant 8 strokes behind as the runner up at the Quicken Loans National event.

The 3rd LPGA Major of the year produced yet another entertaining finish. So Yeon Ryu held a 2 stroke leading going to the 17th hole. However, a wayward tee shot found water and Ryu ended up with a double bogie and saw her lead disappear. Sung Hyun Park was the benefactor as she played a bogie free final round to finish in a tie with Ryu and Nasa Hatoaka to force a playoff. The first hole saw both Park and Ryu birdie to move on to the 2nd playoff hole. Both found the green in regulation with reasonable birdie putt opportunities. They then endured a 20 minute weater delay before having the chance to putt. Ryu missed but Park didn’t. Park won her 2nd career Major.

The US Seniors Open was held at The Broadmoor in Colorado. David Toms posted a 3 under score to win by a stroke over Miguel Angel Jimenez, Tim Petrovic and Jerry Kelly.

The European Tour event was in Paris France (the HNA Open De France). Alex Noren birdied two of his last three holes to win by one strokc over Russell Knox, Julian Siri and Chris Wood.
