At the turn on Sunday, there were many golfers positioned to take the lead away from Patrick Cantlay and Sahith Theegala at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Only one – Scottie Scheffler – made the move with 4 birdies in the last 6 holes to tie Patrick Cantlay for the lead after regulation. Off to #18 to start the playoff. Both golfers parred the 18th the first two times. Then, on the 3rd go-around on 18, Scheffler drained a 26 foot putt for birdie. Cantlay had the opportunity but couldn’t get his putt to go in.

Scheffler now has his first Tour victory. Finishing a stroke behind Cantlay and Scheffler were Theegala, Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele.

Other Winners:

~ DP World Tour: Ryan Fox

~ Korn Ferry Tour: Brandon Matthews
