Sam Burns defended his title at the Valspar Championship. Like last year, he posted 17 under 267. Davis Riley matched his score to force a playoff. On the 2nd playoff hole, Burns dropped a lengthy putt for a birdie and the win. This was the 3rd tour win for Burns.

Across the pond, Shaun Norris picked up his first victory on the DP World Tour with a 3 stoke win over Dean Burmester at the Steyn City Championship.

Earlier in the week, the Players Championship finished with a Monday round. The weather was horrendous all weekend. Australian Cameron Smith slogged his way around the course to come out on top.
