Lancaster (PA) Country Club was the site for the first LPGA win for In Gee Chun. The 20 year old Chun posted a 66 on Sunday to take the title by a stroke. Inbee Park also took over the #1 slot in the World Rankings over Lydia Ko.

European Tour: The Scottish Open was held at Gullane Hall. A late run of birdies helped Ricky Fowler to take the title. He locked up the 1 stroke victory by throwing a wedge dart to 2 feet from the 18th hole for an easy birdie. He also birdied 15 & 16 to get into contention.

PGA Tour: Back on the mainland, Jordan Spieth was fine tuning his game with a win at the John Deere Classic in a playoff with Tom Gillis. This was Spieth’s 2nd win in 3 years at the John Deere. Now he takes his game to the OLD COURSE to see if he can win the 3rd leg of the Majors.

In The Rough: The PGA decided to drop Trump National LA as host to the Grand Slam of Golf over the well discussed controversial commentary by The Donald on Mexican Immigrants. Scott Stallings received a 3 month suspension for violating the Tour’s anti-doping policy. He said he took energy boosters not knowing they were on the banned list. Jason Day’s vertigo issues have now been linked to a viral ear infection. There has been some damage to the inner ear but should not affect his play at the British Open.
