Yuka Saso – a 19 year old from the Phillipines – outdueled Nasa Hatoaka to win the U.S. Womens Open at the Olympic Club. Saso made an 8 foot birdie on the 3rd playoff hole for the win and to become the first person from the Phillipines to win a golf Major. Lexi Thompson finished 1 stroke out of the playoff after losing a 5 stroke lead on the back 9.

Jon Rahm out – Patrick Cantlay In. After round 3, Rahm head a 6 stroke lead however that was short-lived. After completing the round, Rahm was informed that he had tested positive for Covid 19 and had to withdraw. As a result of contact tracing, it was found on Monday that Rahm had come into contact with an infected person. He then was tested daily and was eventually found to have become positive. That left the lead to Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morakowa tied after the round. They battled on Sunday only to still finished tied at -12. The tie didn’t last long as Cantlay made a 12 foot putt for par on the first playoff hole to win the Memorial Invitational.
