Las Vegas proved to be the place for magic. Rory McIlroy shot a -25 to win the no cut CJ Cup at Summit. He beat Collin Morikawa by a stroke to win his 20th career victory.

On the European Tour, Matthew Fitzpatrick beat both Sebastian Soderberg and Min Woo Lee by 3 strokes to win the Andulucia Masters event.

On the Champions Tour, Lee Jansen sank a lengthy birdie putt on the first playoff hole to beat Miguel Angel Jimenez at the Tour’s regular season ending event – the SAS Championship.

Condolences go out to the family and friends of Renton Laidlaw who passed away on October 12 at the age of 82. He was a legendary media man and was great to listen to as he covered golf both on TV and on radio until he retired in 2015. RIP.
