With the strongest field at Colonial Country Club in decades, it was only fitting that the leaderboard was crowded all tournament long and especially on Sunday. It came down to two of the hottest golfers before stoppage for the Covid 19 pandemic 3 months ago.
Daniel Berger and Collin Morikawa finished the 72 holes tied at -15. One playoff hole later, Berger was the winner of the Charles Schwab Callenge. Berger parred 17 and Morikawa lipped out a 3 foot putt for a bogie.
This was Berger’s 3rd tour victory. He also now has 28 consecutive rounds at par or better since last October. Morikawa has now made 21 straight cuts since joining the tour after his graduation from Cal.
