Suzann Pettersen clinched a 14 1/2 – 13 1/2 Solheim Cup win for Europe with a 6 foot birdie on her last hole of singles. With that, she announced that she was retiring from the tour. She had recently come back from an extended maternity leave to play as a Captain’s Pick on the European squad.

Stars for Europe were Celine Boutier (3-1-0) and Georgia Hall (3-1-0). For the U.S., the two Korda sisters (Jessica and Nelly) were outstanding with both having 3-0-1 results.

The PGA Tour 2019-2020 season started off with the “A Military Tribute at the Greenbrier” event. Joaquin Niemann won with a 6 stroke victory over Tom Hoge.

At the KLM Open in Amsterdam, Sergio Garcia took the title for his 16th European Tour victory finishing 1 stroke ahead of Nicholai Hojgaard.
