Jordan Spieth certainly continues to be a story line with his excellent play, ability to not dwell on a bad shot and his humble attitude. Can he get all 4 Majors this year? Can he bring his game to St Andrews? Will weather play a factor on a “TRUE” links course? We will find out if he can take the next step to the sweep next month. If he can make that happen, heading into the PGA Championship should bode well for him since it is being played at another links style course at Whistling Straits near Kohler WI.

Speaking of story lines, there were just so many this past weekend:

~ Dustin Johnson – another heartbreaking finish

~ Brandon Grace – one bad tee ball

~ Jason Day – dealing with Vertigo

~ Adam Scott and Louis Oosthuizen – both too late with their gutsy play

~ Chambers Bay – everyone has an opinion … good, bad or indifferent.

SYMETRA TOUR:  Yes there were other professionals on the links this weekend. At the Four Winds Invitational in South Bend, IN, seventeen year old Brooks Henderson (Canada) continues her quality play by winning the event by 3 stokes. She posted a 10 under for the 54 hole event. It’s not a matter of if but when the LPGA will grant her an exemption to play on the best Ladies tour. Her game is certainly there (remember she also finished 5th at the Women’s PGA Championship last week).
