PGA National was the beast its known to be with it constant strong winds. Only 11 players finished the Honda Classic below par. Despite the wind, Justin Thomas went on to finish the 72 holes in 8 under to force a playoff with 54 hole leader Luke List. It didn’t take long as Thomas disposed of List on the first playoff hole – the par 5 18th – with a 2 putt birdie. This was Thomas’ 2nd win of the PGA Tour’s 2017/2018 wraparound season.

The famed “Bear Trap”, a 3 hole stretch on the back 9, showed its teeth as it took down a tiger. Woods, despite a pretty solid event played the 3 holes in 8 over over the 4 rounds to finish even and 8 strokes behind Thomas and List.
