Rory McIlroy does not have the 12th green at Cherry Hills (BMW Championship) on his list of favorite holes. He 4 putted the green twice (Saturday and Sunday). Was this a case of the “Yips”?

Phil Mickelson withdrew half way through the tournament for no other reason than to rest and get ready for the Ryder Cup. He was too far back to make a challenge and hope to play in next week’s Fedex Cup championship. Instead of “faking” an injury, he was honest about it. Now it will cost him a few bucks in fines for his honesty.

Morgan Hoffman posted 62/63 to finish in 3rd place and pick up enough Fedex points to get into the Cup final.

On the Women’s tour, Australian Minjee Lee (#1 ranked female amateur) has turned pro and will play in this week’s  Evian Championship. She played well in the Women’s US Open in Pinehurst last June.
