Gary Woodland was 0 for 7 when holding the 54 hole lead. That’s over now. With an emphatic fist pump with his lengthy birdie on 18, Woodland notched his first Major title. He won the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach with a 3 stroke victory over two time winner Brooks Koepka. Despite a hot start by Koepka two groups ahead, Woodland went about his business and never gave up the lead.

Despite her worse round (70) at the event on Sunday, Brooke Henderson won the Meijer LPGA Classic wire to wire. She beat Lexi Thompson, Nasa Hatoaka, Su Oh and Britany Altomare by 1 stroke. This was Henderson’s 9th tour victory.

On the tour, Xinjun Zhang edged Dylan Wu on the 3rd playoff hole to win the Lincoln Land Championship. With the win, Zhang moved to the top of the tour money list.
