Golf Course Comments |
| This golf course was
built on the historic Longwood Plantation, whose heritage as
a successful ante-bellum rice plantation on Waccamaw River.
This tract features flowing lakes, moss-draped oaks, lofty pines,
and the ever-changing cypress. Taking advantage of the natural
terrain and exciting vistas with its beautiful undulations,
Gary Player certainly made his first golf course in the Myrtle Beach
area something to be proud of. In 2001 it was named the Myrtle
Beach golf course of the Year. In 2003 they completed extensive
renovations including the greens, bunkers and clubhouse. They
also removed some trees and added new bunkers. |
